72 Lucas, Carla 232 The top was made by Helen Lucas, of Halls, Tennessee (husband's grandmother). She gave me all her unfinished projects when she stopped quilting. This quilt had a really unpleasant green and pink scalloped border on it that detracted from the beauty of the quilt top. I removed the border, loved the quilt then, and quilted it on my domestic sewing machine. Special Award Gift Card

357 Iverson, Kaye 1162 This piece is titled "Tulip Splendor" and is my original design depicting a grove of trees with tulips and other banks of blooming flowers based off of my personal photo taken at the Kuekenhoff Gardens in the Netherlands. The quilt is made from sari silk, cotton batik, and hand dyed organza. The techniques that I used were raw edge machine applique, tulle over silk confetti and threadwork. I used my domestic machine for the machine quilting which is an overall meander quilting pattern. The quilt size is 41"h x 50" w. 2nd
