• Welcome to the 2026 VA Junior Beef Roundup to be held in conjunction with the 2026 VA Beef Expo on April 15-19, 2026 at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds in Harrisonburg, VA. This year's VA Junior Beef Roundup will take place on Friday, April 17th and Saturday, April 18th. As it is Easter Weekend, there will be no events on Sunday, April 20.. Please make sure you review the RULES very closely prior to entering. It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to review and understand the rules prior to entering.

Exhibitor Eligibility:

• The VA Jr Beef Roundup is open to active, enrolled Virginia 4-H and FFA youth that will be 9 years old by September 30, 2026 and have not reached their 19th birthday before January 1, 2026.
• Additionally, Virginia Youth who are active members of Junior Breed Associations who are 19 years of age or older, AND meet the eligibility guidelines of their respective breed association are eligible to enter and show REGISTERED Breeding Heifers and Registered Bred and Owned Bulls, only.When using the FairEntry System, these 19 and over exhibitors, should choose "Junior Breed Association" as their club designation.

• Ownership Deadline and the Deadline for having all Registered Cattle in the name of the exhibitor is April 10, 2026. Registration certificates must reflect ownership in the name of the exhibitor no later than April 10, 2026.
• There will be a Bred & Owned Show offered for each Breed of Registered Heifers. There is a minimum of 10 head required. Less than 10 head of Bred and Owned cattle will result in a single Bred & Owned Class held at the end of the respective breed show. Bred & Owned Designation will be made at the time of entry. This information will be used to determine which breeds qualify for a separate Bred & Owned Division.
• Calves at side of Dam entered in the Cow/Calf class must be registered in the name of the exhibitor by the April 10th, 2026 Ownership Deadline - NO EXCEPTIONS
• Electronic registration papers will be accepted, but must clearly show the date of issue by the respective breed association, as this is the date that will be used to determine ownership.
• Registration papers on all registered cattle will need to be uploaded during the entry process - make sure you have a PDF copy or picture of each of your registration papers prior to beginning the entry process.
• SHOWMANSHIP NOTE: All exhibitors will be automatically entered in their respective showmanship class based on their age as of September 30, 2026. Showmanship is not required, but it will be the responsibility of the exhibitor to scratch their entry from Showmanship before 10:30 am on Friday, April 17th.

Entries must be submitted online by Friday, April 10th at 5:00 pm. Entries are $35 per head and preferred payment method is via Credit Card at the completion of the FairEntry process.
